This is going to be short and sweet, because I'm fucking with my anxiety meds and life is hard. But yesterday "Earth Girls Are Easy" came on TV and I watched it for the first time. First of all, man some batshit insane movies got made in the late 80s. Secondly, Jeff Goldblum, AM I RIGHT?
Anyway, there are a lot of crazy/great clothes in this movie, mostly featured on Julie Brown (of the non-downtown variety). I did a little research on her life today and discovered that she currently writes Weird Al-esque parody songs like this one of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance." I kid you not, it's called "Big Clown Pants."
But it wasn't until the scene at a gas station when a pink Corvette pulled into frame that I audibly gasped. And that was before THIS GODDESS got out:
This woman is everything I want to be, I swear to God. My army of social media weirdoes told me that her name is Angelyne, she's a singer/actress/model/L.A. institution, and it's considered good luck to pass her in her pink Corvette. Here's a picture of her in the 70s with her punk band Baby Blue.
In my opinion, she has only gotten more fabulous.
